ABOUT US

We believe that we are created for and called to loving relationship with God, ourselves, one another and the world.  The Bible tells us that one way to do this is to get still, centered and focused on God, His Word, and His presence (Psalm 46:10).  Our scripturally based video meditations encourage and guide listeners into a more intimate experience of God, His creations, and His presence in our world.

OUR VISION

Christian prayer meditation refreshes, renews and transforms us through consistent, focused exposure to God’s Word and presence (Romans 12:2). Regular and sustained practice helps us grow into the likeness of Jesus Christ and invite others to know His love and saving grace (2 Corinthians 3:18; Colossians 3:10).  Online meditations also support immediate access to the comfort and reassurance of God’s love, omniscience, and omnipotence, helping us cope with life tasks, trials and successes (Isaiah 41:10).

WHAT WE DO

This ministry has created guided Christian prayer meditations in video format since 2017.  These range in length from a couple of minutes to nearly an hour, depending on the topic and purpose. Some are accompanied by music and/or written scriptures imposed on slides; others are mindfulness oriented and encourage closing one’s eyes throughout.  Initially offered on YouTube, meditations are now also available to view on this site and purchase for download. Proceeds support the costs associated with developing and providing meditations.

OUR COMMUNITY

As of September 2023, the Be Still Biblical Meditations community is comprised over 83,000 subscribers worldwide (YouTube). In response to requests, this site was created to provide a centralized location for meditations to be available for viewing without interruption and for donations to our ministry.  To read community feedback, please click here.

Gospel reading and Sermon by Beatrix von Watzdorf

About Bea

Thanks for visiting and learning more about this ministry.  My name is Beatrix, which means “voyager, traveler” as well as “one who brings joy.”   I try to live into both.

I believe I was put on this earth by God to know, love and serve Him and to contribute to others.  My relationship with God has evolved through decades of believing, studying and acting on His Word, which I now have the privilege of sharing with others through these online meditations.

Switching careers in my 30s to become a licensed professional counselor was a leap of faith. So was creating this ministry 18 years later, especially with a full-time practice and school aged child.  As with many of God’s prompts, this calling took me well out of my comfort zone.

God has rewarded my stepping out of the boat (Matthew 14:29) by showing up in marvelous and unexpected ways.  There has been joy and wonder sensing God’s spirit pouring through me to create these meditations.  I’m also grateful at how my relationship with God and others has grown, and humbled by how He uses this ministry to touch the lives of people worldwide.

My home church is the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham, Pennsylvania, where I worship and serve on Altar Guild, choir and church council.  On occasion, I am a service lector and have been a lay pastor (to hear the sermon, please click on the arrow beneath the photo).  My husband, son and I live in Bethlehem, PA.
